Left matte and unglazed, the exterior is a deep charcoal black clay, broken by one depressed dot of contrast glaze. Inside, that same contrast glaze coats the cup in a soft, weathered green or rusty red. Standing five inches tall, it carries the clean, minimal lines of a piece as at home on a designer's shelf as it is in a morning routine.
