This hybrid class allows a mix of Intermediate class students that have some experience and want to improve their skills, and Advance students that want to take on more challenging projects. Either one is for once a week in your specified day and time and lasts for 2 hours. (This includes clean up time). Up to 2 make-up classes are available, if needed. Intermediate students should have already taken at least one pottery wheel course and/or are proficient on the wheel. Intermediate - We will dive deeper into throwing techniques, starting with a centering intensive and refining wall lifting with white earthenware clay. Session is 8 weeks long - 2 makeup classes available, if needed. Class fee is $350 (plus tax) and includes up to 25 pounds of clay, use of tools, glazing and firings of 14 pieces. (Note: Additional bag of clay can be purchased for $25 and pieces can be fired for $12 a pound) Advanced - If you are joining use for the 1st time as an advanced student, we have a range of projects in mid-range stoneware that will get you going and we can discuss specific skills and techniques that you want to learn. Current Advance students will work on the curriculum with ongoing students. (See project paths in studio) Session is 8 weeks long - 2 makeup classes available, if needed. Class fee is $360 (plus tax) for the stoneware and includes up to 25 pounds of clay, use of tools, glazing and firings of 14 pieces. (Note: Stoneware clay is a costs more, and we will be using more of it in our projects than in the Intermediate projects. Additional bag of clay can be purchased for $25 and pieces can be fired for $12 a pound) Currently we are taking 7 students this time for each class, (ages 14 and up). There is a 5 person minimum before a class will be started for each time slot. Please also let us know of a day and time that you need if it is not listed. NOTE: Since we are charge a credit card processing fee the moment you pay, there will be a $10 cancellation fee, should you need to cancel before the 1st day of the course starting. After that, the cost of the course is not refundable, but we can apply it to a future course or you can transfer it to a friend or family member.
