Sewing Class - Chenille Pillow 3/27-4/10

Service Description

Welcome to our sewing classes! In this course we will be creating a decorative pillow using a four different coordinating cotton fabrics and implementing a cutting and texturing technique that gives it a chenille edge. Since we want this to fit your own personal decor and taste, we will have you bring in your own 4 different but coordinating woven cotton fabric, each being a yard (36" squared). (Total of 4 yards of fabric). We will supply the rest of the notions (threads and zipper). What You'll Learn: • Understanding the sewing machine: Learn how to thread and use different stitches. • Basic sewing techniques: Practice essential skills like straight stitching, pinning • How to use the zipper foot to sew in a zipper • Tools: Get familiar with different types of fabric, threads, and other essential tools. Who Should Take This Class: • Those who have some sewing experience and know how to thread and sew straight lines. • Those who want to refresh or improve basic sewing skills. • Anyone looking to explore a creative, hands-on hobby! By the end of the class, you'll have a solid foundation in sewing and feel confident to tackle other projects that we offer. Come join us and start stitching your way to creativity! Currently we are taking 4 students this time for each class, (ages 16 and up). There is a 2 person minimum before a class will be scheduled for each time slot. Please also let us know of a day and time that you need if it is not listed. NOTE: Since we are charge a credit card processing fee the moment you pay, there will be a $7 cancellation fee, should you need to cancel before the 1st day of the course starting. After that, the cost of the course is not refundable, but we can apply it to a future course or you can transfer it to a friend or family member.
