Service Description

Don't be intimidated by crochet! This 4-week course is to introduce the basics of crochet. If you've never touched a hook before, this class will guide you through the foundational concepts of crochet. Basic stitches and stitch formations will result in four small projects, one per week. Week 1: How to hold the hook and yarn Foundation stitches - chain, single crochet, and slip stitch Mini-project: Drawstring bag Week 2: More stitches - half-double crochet, double crochet Stitch combinations Making square/rectangular fabric Mini-project: Washcloth Week 3: Height and Drape - treble crochet stitch Practice with hook and yarn sizes Mini-project: Treble crochet scarf or cowl Week 4: Introduction to increases and decreases 3D shapes and crocheting in the round Mini-project: A kitty plushie Currently we are taking 5 students this time for this class, ages 14 and up. There is a 3 person minimum before a class will be scheduled for this time slot. NOTE: Since we are charge a credit card processing fee the moment you pay, there will be a $7 cancellation fee, should you need to cancel before the 1st day of the course starting. After that, the cost of the course is not refundable, but we can apply it to a future course or you can transfer it to a friend or family member.
